About Our Technology
The FireBoard is a digital thermometer designed to operate through your smartphone or through the web. You can easily track up to six temperatures at once. The FireBoard will also alert you via SMS or email to make sure your temperatures are on track.
It’s the perfect device for your temperature monitoring needs. It also connects via Bluetooth® in case WiFi isn’t available, and the FireBoard’s data logging capabilities allow you to view your historical temperature data. It’s like a fitness tracker for cooking.
What makes the FireBoard Special?
Cloud Connected. The FireBoard connects via WiFi to our FireBoard Cloud servers, allowing you to monitor temperature remotely via your phone or the web.
Accuracy. Reliable and accurate temperature readings are key. With a high quality, solid circuit design and accurate probes, FireBoard’s accuracy is rated at ± 0.4°C (± 0.7°F).
Bluetooth. If you don’t have WiFi, you can still use the FireBoard within Bluetooth range.
Incredibly Smart. All your temperature data is stored both onboard the device and on your FireBoard Cloud account. Data is synchronized between the two so you can view your historical and current sessions.
Alerts. You can set up alerts to notify you via SMS, email, or push notification when your target temperatures are reached.
Li-Ion rechargeable battery. The FireBoard runs over 24 hours on battery, even while pushing data over WiFi.
FireBoard + Smart Speakers
All FireBoards work with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant, making it even easier to check your temperatures.
The FireBoard Alexa Skill is the perfect way to check the temperature of what you are cooking when you are busy preparing other food. Use any Amazon Alexa enabled device.

We’ve designed our mobile and web apps to provide a simple way to view your historical data, and you can easily export the data to CSV, either as a single session or an entire archive file of your history. The FireBoard Cloud
FireBoard sends real time temperature data to the cloud every 5 seconds and re-distributes the data so you can view it anywhere. If you need to head back to the office, or run out to the store, you can track everything remotely. Alerts can even be set up while you’re away, since everything is managed through the FireBoard Cloud. The FireBoard Cloud is free for consumer users.
For Commercial users, around the clock monitoring is available for $10 per month. More about the FireBoard Cloud Commercial Pricing here. With FireBoard Cloud, the data is always available to download to CSV so you have your history.
Staying Connected
If the FireBoard isn’t able to reach the internet, it can synchronize data to the cloud using a smartphone’s Bluetooth connection so you can always see your temperatures.

Setting up the FireBoard is a breeze: plug in a probe and you’re tracking temperatures. Using the app, connect your FireBoard to WiFi and set up alerts to receive notifications from just about anywhere.

Why Wired Temperature Probes?
Wired probes are time tested and robust. Probes are an extremely important element of FireBoard operations, so we don’t want them breaking down in extreme heat. While in use, probes can be exposed to harsh conditions, and we needed our solution to work well over the long run.

Our Founders
Ted Conrad worked in the investment industry for the first 14 years of his career, focusing on building expert systems and proprietary software to support investment strategies. Always tinkering and soldering with electronics in his spare time, FireBoard has brought together Ted’s passion for not only building businesses and software but also building hardware to solve simple problems for everyday life.
Steven Briggeman has been consulting in the digital space since 2002. He has developed practical tools that are being utilized in a wide range of applications, from market research firms and college classrooms to state agencies and small business. With FireBoard, Steven is able to utilize the depth of his expertise in web technology while also growing new skill sets in developing mobile applications.
