Our Company
FireBoard Labs is a technology company founded in 2015 with a mission to develop innovative IoT (Internet of Things) products that make people’s lives easier and more connected. Based in downtown Kansas City, MO, our in-house team is passionate about the design, development, production, and distribution of smart home and temperature sensor technology.
Our Technology
Our flagship product is the FireBoard 2 Drive smart temperature controller, which allows users to track up to six temperatures at once remotely using a mobile app or web dashboard. The FireBoard is used by home cooks, pitmasters, restaurants, groceries, and anyone who needs precise temperature monitoring for their cooking, smoking, or storage monitoring ecosystems.
In addition to the FireBoard 2 series, we also offer a range of smart home accessories like the Beacon wireless temperature & humidity sensor, the Spark instant-read thermometer, and many accessories & add-ons designed to enhance the capabilities of the FireBoard ecosystem.

Ted Conrad
CEO & Founder
Ted worked in the investment industry for the first 14 years of his career, focusing on building expert systems and proprietary software to support investment strategies. Always tinkering and soldering with electronics in his spare time, FireBoard has brought together Ted’s passion for not only building businesses and software but also building hardware to solve simple problems in everyday life.
Steven Briggeman
Co-Founder
Steven Briggeman has been consulting in the digital space since 2002. He has developed practical tools that are being utilized in a wide range of applications, from market research firms and college classrooms to state agencies and small businesses. With FireBoard, Steven is able to utilize the depth of his expertise in web technology while also growing new skill sets in developing mobile applications.
