FireBoard at the 2024 American Royal
FireBoard once again attended the American Royal up at the Kansas Speedway, and we couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. Hosting nearly 250+ guests throughout Friday night, our event space was buzzing with energy, excitement, and more than a few curious faces who’d never heard of FireBoard before. It was a fantastic chance to introduce them to our brand, showcase our latest innovations, and celebrate Kansas City’s vibrant BBQ culture.
The event officially kicked off at 7 p.m., but we had eager guests filling the space as early as 5 p.m. The anticipation was palpable, and as people continued to flow in, our banners featuring the FireBoard Pulse, our brand-new dual-band wireless temperature probe, quickly became a focal point. The energy grew as more guests arrived, drawn by the music, the aromas, and, of course, the promise of good company and cutting-edge BBQ technology.
Seeing people’s reactions to the Pulse was incredibly rewarding. For years, we’ve heard from users who wanted a wireless probe that offers precision, ease, and durability, so it was gratifying to finally share this high-tech innovation with the world. New customers and longtime fans alike were excited to experience this real-deal solution in person, finally witnessing what we’ve been working so hard to create. The Pulse took center stage on our banners, sparking conversations and allowing us to give hands-on demos.
We were thrilled to be joined by our long-time friends Megan and Jason Day of Burnt Finger BBQ, along with their son Hank, aka DJ PXL. Megan and Jason worked their magic on the smokers, preparing a feast featuring fall-off-the-bone ribs, pulled pork, and even their famous bacon explosions (Author’s note: These were incredible. Holy cow.) DJ PXL brought the music to life, transforming our event space into a dance floor and getting people on their feet. The atmosphere was electric, thanks in no small part to Burnt Finger’s delicious food and DJ PXL’s beats.
As a Kansas City-based company, being part of such an iconic local event meant a lot to us. FireBoard is dedicated to supporting Kansas City manufacturing, and events like the American Royal allow us to showcase not only our products but also our commitment to the local community. We’re grateful to everyone who joined us, who believed in our journey, and who celebrated this milestone with us. Seeing the enthusiasm for the FireBoard Pulse and witnessing the support for our mission was a powerful reminder of why we do what we do.
We’re ecstatic about the incredible turnout and the energy everyone brought to the event. From the early birds who couldn’t wait to see what FireBoard had in store to those who stayed well into the night—nearly midnight!—the event was a massive success. We want to thank each and every person who joined us, supported FireBoard, and shared in the excitement. We’re already looking forward to seeing everyone again next year. Until then, here’s to more great BBQ, great company, and more innovation from your local FireBoard team.
