FireBoard HQ Update: Plumbing, Electrical and HVAC!
FireBoard recently hosted a happy hour for their employees at their future headquarters. This gave teammates a chance to see how their new workplace is developing with recently installed plumbing, electrical and HVAC. If you missed previous the previous installments of this blog series click these links to see Ted’s introduction to the project, and the installation of the giant windows and the custom staircase.
Rehabbing older construction takes dedication, patience, and commitment. These projects take time and are not for the weak at heart. Fortunately for FireBoard, their General Contractor Byron has plenty of experience with older buildings, and is not easily discouraged by the speed bumps that are common with restoration projects. Byron has been keeping a video diary of the project, click here to check it out!

A dormer was added to the original barrel vaulted roofline to create a more spacious ceiling height on the mezzanine level.

In an effort to display as much of the old building’s structure as possible, offices on the upper level will have decking installed over the original ceiling rafters. The darker stain on these new boards will help the older wood stand out. For this project, Joe stained 768 planks (over 2500 square feet of planks). Way to go Joe!!

In addition to a rehabbed building, FireBoard is expanding their line up of production machinery.

It is great to see the old building reused. It adds a lot of class in my humble opinion. I hope I minght get to see this in the future. Also I love your products which were introduced to me via KANDO equipment. Looking forward to future developments. 😁
