Meet the Team: Aaron Louchart

First up in our Meet the Team series is Aaron Louchart. A Michigander who first moved to Kansas City in ‘06, he’s now on his second tour of KC, by way of Chicago; he joined the FireBoard team in April of this year

What do you do at FireBoard?

Currently, I’m the Sales and Operations Manager, with a focus on long term production and supply chain management planning. I’m also working to grow our commercial partnerships. 

What’s your background?

My Bachelor’s degree is in Logistics and Purchasing Management, and I have over 14 years of experience in Supply Chain Management. My supply chain background is a diverse mix of data analysis, cost modeling, and International Freight forwarding. 

What made you want to apply to work at FireBoard Labs?

The position allowed me to utilize my career experience in a challenging and unique way and allows me to have input into a number of functional areas. I strongly believe that the FireBoard technology can add value to a number of potential clients and was excited for a chance to help advance the business in the years to come. 

Why do you like working here?

FireBoard values its employees and believes that hard work and having fun don’t have to be mutually exclusive. Regular R&D testing that results in team lunches are a nice perk, too. 

What do you do when you’re not at work?

I’m an average BBQ cook with an above average desire to get better at my craft. You’ll likely find me sitting near my 10 year old Weber Kettle with a good book and a good IPA on most Saturdays. 

What’s your favorite sports team?

Life long suffering Detroit Lions fan who has had many disappointing Thanksgivings due to this allegiance. 

Any wise words to share?

The most valuable gift you can give someone is your time, and right behind that is great burnt ends. They also make a great gift.
