Second Saturday with Made in KC

This past weekend, we participated in the 2nd Saturday pop-up event hosted by Made in KC, Kansas City’s premiere destination for local goods, gifts, apparel, and more. In the beautiful sunny weather, we fired up the grill and had a little cookout at their Country Club Plaza location. Patrons could purchase a FireBoard and enjoy some BBQ. Smoked sausage was from Fareway Meat Market (formerly McGonigle’s), a local staple and well-known in the Kansas City BBQ community.

Made in KC opened in 2015, providing local Kansas City artists and makers a platform to reach customers around the city. Now with 12 locations ranging from Cafes, Marketplaces, and Neighborhood Shops, each of their locations offers a different flavor of Kansas City and is unique to its neighborhood. Made in KC curates its products from hundreds of submissions and works to support brands through partnerships, relationships, and resources. They provide many ways for local brands to gain more exposure within Kansas City and beyond.
