The FireBoard App Basics, Part 4: Session Share
The FireBoard App is a rewarding aspect of the hardware that it supports. As this micro-series has illustrated, this app expands the capabilities of the product beyond a simple thermometer. If you enjoy documenting your activities the FireBoard App’s Sessions has a fantastic experience waiting for you!

The app automatically names your session by date and you can easily rename it by the protein, dish or occasion. The titles are searchable for future reference. You can also add photos and notes with a timestamp to help keep track of your process. Ideal for keeping track of and new methods or tricks you are experimenting with. The App also allows you to add or edit your notes after the fact.

Photography is a great way to add notes to your session note in the FireBoard App. In one photo you can capture valuable notes like how fatty the meat was pre-cook, which rub you used or how you had your vents positioned.
You can share these sessions via an HTML link by tapping the share icon in the upper right of The FireBoard App. This allows you to send all aspects of your session, including notes and photos.

Once your friends are connected to your session, they can watch your cook and see you add photos and notes in real time. If you’re trying brisket for the first time, you can have someone with more experience, watching remotely sharing knowledge and cheering you on!
