The FireBoard Pulse is a wireless cooking thermometer that uses dual-band Bluetooth and S1G technology to stream temperature data to the FireBoard cloud, accessible from the FireBoard mobile app.
A wireless meat thermometer that does it all.
The Pulse wireless probe will track your cook’s internal temperature and the ambient temperature of the grill using two sensors – one near the tip, and one in the ceramic end. No wires are required.
Pulse connects to the FireBoard 2 series, the FireBoard Spark, Yoder Smokers, and smartphones using Bluetooth. By adding an S1G Antenna to a standalone FireBoard 2 controller, the Pulse’s range increases significantly, allowing for better connectivity through metal grill bodies.

Sleek, smart, and dynamic.

Elegant design, meet practical application.

The Pulse’s charger stacks with additional stations using magnets, allowing you to charge multiple probes simultaneously. All you need is a single USB-C power cable, no matter how many probes you add to your setup.
Chisel tip design for cleaner insertion
The Pulse is a hexagonal probe with a flat chisel tip, making it easier to insert in meat. Because of this streamlined design, it also leaves a smaller indentation compared to other wireless probes on the market.

Compatible with Yoder Smokers
The FireBoard Pulse is compatible with Yoder Smokers integrated with FireBoard technology. If you own a Yoder, you’re already halfway there.

A Bluetooth meat thermometer (and so much more.)
The Pulse wireless meat thermometer transmits data to any cloud-connected FireBoard device over S1G or Bluetooth. By default, the probe functions as a wireless Bluetooth meat thermometer directly paired with your smartphone. Add an S1G Antenna to your FireBoard 2 and pair it to the Pulse for a significantly increased connectivity range.

Total mobile app compatibility
Sync the Pulse to your smartphone like any other FireBoard device. Once connected, the wireless probe will automatically transmit your food’s temperature to the FireBoard mobile app.
Each Pulse connected to your FireBoard account will be distinct from the next based on color and/or name. Set specific alerts for temperature setpoints to know when your food reaches the perfect temperature.
Frequently Asked Questions
The FireBoard Pulse stands out for its dual-sensor design (measuring both internal meat temperature and ambient temperature) and seamless connectivity via Bluetooth or S1G to FireBoard devices or smartphones. Its fully wireless design means no tangled cables, and the stackable charging system makes it easy to power multiple probes at once.
The Pulse uses Bluetooth to connect directly to your smartphone or tablet, and it can also transmit data over S1G (a proprietary wireless standard) to any FireBoard 2 series controller or FireBoard Spark. If you add an S1G Antenna to your FireBoard 2 Drive, it boosts the connectivity range—especially helpful when cooking in a metal grill or smoker.
Yes. Each wireless meat thermometer probe in the Pulse lineup features two sensors:
- One near the tip for internal food temperature
- One near the ceramic end for ambient temperature
This dual-sensor configuration gives you a complete picture of your cook without requiring multiple probes or extra cables.
Each Pulse probe docks into a magnetic charging station. You can stack multiple stations together and use just one USB-C cable to power them all. Battery life depends on factors like ambient temperature and how often the device transmits data, but you can typically expect several hours of cooking time on a full charge.
In most open-air scenarios, the Bluetooth range is typically up to 30 feet. This can vary due to obstacles like grill lids, metal walls, or large cuts of meat. By adding an S1G Antenna to a FireBoard 2 device, you can significantly increase that range, ensuring a more reliable signal in challenging environments.
The Pulse’s accuracy is on par with FireBoard’s wired probes, generally within ±1°F (±0.5°C) under normal conditions. As with any wireless cooking thermometer, proper placement in the meat and avoiding physical obstructions can improve performance and accuracy.
Absolutely. Once you pair your Pulse with the FireBoard app (iOS/Android), you can set alerts for specific temperatures, monitor multiple probes at once, and even receive done-time predictions. It’s a comprehensive solution for managing long cooks or busy kitchens.
We do not recommend putting the Pulse in a dishwasher due to the potential for corrosive chemicals to build up. After cooking, simply wipe the probe tip with a damp cloth or mild soapy water. Avoid submerging the entire probe under water; focus on cleaning the steel portion near the tip and wiping down the ceramic end.
Yes. If your Yoder Smoker is FireBoard-integrated, the Pulse can sync directly with the smoker’s interface. You’ll be able to view real-time temperature readings on the Yoder’s display, making it a convenient all-in-one solution for monitoring your cooks.
The Pulse is designed to integrate seamlessly with the FireBoard ecosystem, meaning it works with your existing FireBoard app, fan controllers, and cloud sync. Users often report fewer connectivity issues than some other wireless meat thermometer brands, especially when combined with the S1G Antenna for extended range.
