How do I calibrate the FireBoard Spark?
The Spark thermometer comes pre-calibrated, but you can verify its accuracy by performing a simple ice water calibration or using a reference thermometer to ensure precise temperature readings. Check out our thermometer calibration documentation for more information.

Can I leave the FireBoard Spark digital meat thermometer probes in the oven or grill?
Yes, the leave-in probes are heat-resistant and suitable for use in ovens, smokers, grills, and other cooking appliances. However, ensure that the cables are positioned away from direct heat sources to prevent damage.

Is this thermometer waterproof?
Yes, the Spark has been approved for an IP66 Waterproof Rating. We've engineered watertight seals on the body of the Spark, the swiveling instant-read probe, and the external probe port so you can wash it confidently. However, it is not safe for total submersion or placement in dishwashers.

How do I clean the FireBoard Spark thermometer probes?
Clean the thermometer probes with warm, soapy water after each use. Avoid fully submerging the probes in water, and gently wipe the probe cables and connectors with a damp cloth. Avoid exposing the probes to excessive moisture.
